YouTube publishing royalties: the composition matters
A song has a composition, such as its melody and lyrics, and a particular recorded performance. Controlling a recording does not automatically mean controlling all composition rights.
Tell us about co-writers, publishers and collecting societies before we agree publishing administration. EXMGE checks which rights are available for us to manage on YouTube so representation can be coordinated with existing agreements.
What working with an MCN means
EXMGE reviews your channel or catalog, agrees the services with you and supports the ongoing administration. You decide what to create and release. Your contract defines the rights, services, revenue share and duration.
Channel monetization remains subject to YouTube’s Partner Program and platform rules. We review the fit for your channel and the rights available for catalog services; joining an MCN does not bypass those requirements.

We pay monthly once the agreed minimum payout balance is reached. Your agreement explains applicable deductions and payment conditions. Payment details can be managed in your dashboard with two-factor authentication.

Does EXMGE collect YouTube publishing royalties?
Yes. These royalties relate to the musical composition, such as its melody and lyrics, rather than only the sound recording. EXMGE collects YouTube publishing royalties alongside its other monetization services. We check which composition rights you control and which are already represented before agreeing what we will manage.
What does a partnership cost?
Terms are agreed individually for the services you use. Before you sign, your offer and agreement specify the revenue share, any applicable service fees and payment conditions. Music distribution is not currently available.
When and how do I get paid?
We pay monthly once your balance reaches the agreed minimum payout threshold. Available payment methods are PayPal and bank transfer. You can set up and update your payment details in your partner dashboard, secured with two-factor authentication. Your agreement specifies the payout conditions that apply to you.
